Part one of chapter 16 is available to read here!
This chapter involves depiction of body horror and past minor character death.
Cee: Humanity created 13 giants in all.
Cee: Only one of the giants is left.
Cee: But it's nowhere to be found.
LOGICA & FALLENSTAR, CHAPTER 16: Golden Fish
Cee: In the beginning, the giants were easy to find.
Cee: There was no need to try to sense the poison they emit, for their massive bodies were plain to see strolling around in the open.
Cee: (Too light...)
Cee: At times it took hundreds of years to defeat even one giant.
Cee: But after killing six of them, a certain change occurred.
Cee: The sky, which had always been covered in clouds, cleared up.
Cee: It was the first time Mr Cee had ever bathed in the light of the sun.
Cee: The thing they called "light" was horribly warm.
Cee: The long winter finally ended, and spring arrived.
Cee: But after that, finding the giants suddenly became more difficult.
Cee: This is because the giants had stopped moving around, and begun to hide in one place.
Cee: Perhaps it was because so much time had passed, or perhaps they could not withstand clean air anymore...
Cee: But with their bodies crumbling, poison still pouring forth from them, unable to kill themselves... they were suffering.
Cee: For both our sakes, it's a blessing that they only take a moment to kill now.
Logica: Isaaaaac!
Isaac: Are you going fishing? This early in the day?
Logica: That's right, do you wanna come with?
Isaac: I can't, I'm too busy.
Logica: You're always busy! What are you doing?
Isaac: I'm looking for the switch.
Fallenstar: That again?
Logica: By hitting trees???
Isaac: Even I only half believe it, but...
Fallenstar: Oh, wait, what if... Remember that time we followed Mr Cee?
Logica: Ohhhhhh, I remember now!
Isaac: Do you know something about it?!
Fallenstar: Yeah! If you open up a tree trunk and push the switch inside, you can go into an underground dungeon!
Isaac: Underground!!! Where was this tree?!
Cee: The morning sun's dang bright... (was up all night looking for the last giant)
Fallenstar: What's up, Mr Cee!!!
Logica: Mr Cee, come fishing with us!!! Fishing!!!!
Cee: Woah!
Logica: I'm sure you've got nothing better to do!
Cee: Ehhhh...
Cee: Golden fish?
Logica: According to the rumors, they appear in the desert oasis, after a first big rain in years...
Logica: It's hot~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Logica: I wish I could wear a hat too... (it would cover his eyes)
Cee: You should sit in the shade.
Logica: Actually, I'll do that.
Fallenstar: Man, another one? All I've been catching is normal silver fish.
Logica: Yeah, you can find silver fish anywhere.
Fallenstar: Are they hiding deeper in or something?
Logica: (Come to think of it, why are there fish in this closed-off oasis?)
Cee: If you catch the golden fish, what are you gonna do with it?
Fallenstar: Keep it as a pet!!!! I've got an aquarium ready and everything!
Cee: You've sure counted those eggs already.
Fallenstar: I wonder if it's true that a golden fish can cure any disease.
Logica: That's just a fairy tale, isn't it?
Fallenstar: WAAAAAAAAAAAAH, I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!
Fallenstar: If I just sit around dangling a fishing line any longer I'm gonna lose it!
Fallenstar: I'm gonna go take a walk around nearby! You come too, Mr Cee.
Cee: Ehhhhhh...
Logica: Have fun.
Fallenstar: I hear that lots of humans used to live here a long time ago.
Cee: Oh yeah, this place is familiar.
Cee: This is the first place Mr Cee took down a giant.
