LOGICA & FALLENSTAR, CHAPTER 19: Snowy Mountain Ghost Story
Isaac: This is Mr. Matsuda, who's gone missing.
Isaac: He went to the snowy mountain on the other side of the river and has never been seen since.
Logica: Isn't that mountain the one where...?
Isaac: Yes, it's the one said to be inhabited by youkai.
Fallenstar: YOUKAI?!
Fallenstar: All right! Let's go take those youkai down!!
Logica: I knew you'd say that!! Ahhhhhhhh!!!
Fallenstar: What's your problem?
Logica: Weren't you listening to Isaac?! It's so scary!!! What if we can't make it home?!!
Fallenstar: It'll be fine! We'll make it back for sure!!!
Logica: You're confident!!
Fallenstar: If you're that against it, you don't have to come with, Logica. I can go by myself.
Logica: EH?!
Isaac: I'm not going with you either, you know.
Logica: Uggghghhhhghhghgh~~~~~ (I don't want to go, but I don't want to let Fallen go all alone!)
Fallenstar: It's snow!!!!
Fallenstar: This is so fun!!!!!!
Logica: (They've got nerves of steel...)
Fallenstar: Mr. Matsuda came here to fish, right?
Logica: Yeah, it seems like he loved fishing.
Fallenstar: Let's go look for a river, then.
Fallenstar: Let's look around from that cliff!
Fallenstar: WHOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Logica: FALLEN!!!
Fallenstar: Ahh, that surprised me!
Fukyou: Are you okay?!
Fukyou: You fell off that cliff, didn't you?
Fallenstar: Yup, I'm fine.
Fukyou: The snow must have broken your fall.
Logica: FAAAAAAALLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEN!!
Logica: Waaaaaahhhh, I'm so glad you're okay!!
Logica: Huh? Who's this?!
Fukyou: I'm Fukyou. Who are you?
Logica: I'm Logica.
Fallenstar: I'm Fallenstar. Why did you come to this mountain, Fukyou?
Fukyou: I live here by myself.
Fallenstar: You LIVE in this place?!
Fukyou: I can't stand the heat. But it's always cold here, you see? So I can never leave this mountain...
Fallenstar: Oh...
Fukyou: Um... So, if you're okay with it...
Fukyou: Would you play with me?
Fallenstar: Huh?!
Fallenstar: (Now what? Doesn't this seem super suspicious?)
Logica: (B-but it's not nice to suspect someone we've only just met...)
Fukyou: Um... I'm sorry for saying something so strange. I'm always by myself, so...
Logica: She doesn't seem like a bad person to me.
Fallenstar: Let's hang out with her so we can keep an eye on her. Maybe this way we can learn if she's bad or not.
Fallenstar: Sure, let's play! We got nothin' better to do!
Fukyou: Really?!
Fukyou: Thank you!!
Fallenstar: Whoa, it blew up real fast.
Logica: Mountain weather can change really quickly.
Fallenstar: (A drawing? It's Fukyou and... who's that with her?)
Fukyou: He just disappeared for no reason one day.
Fukyou: How many years ago was that? He used to play with me all the time just like you did, but...
Fallenstar: He disappeared...?
Logica: Where did he go?
Fukyou: Who knows? I doubt he'll ever be back, though.
Fukyou: Even though we used to be such great friends...
Logica: We got so absorbed in playing that we forgot to ask her about Mr. Matsuda, huh...
Fallenstar: Let's ask her tomorrow.
Fallenstar: But hey, what do you think about what we just heard? About that guy who just "suddenly disappeared"...
Logica: Huh?!
Logica: I bet something just came up so quick he couldn't come here anymore! Like maybe he moved far away...
Fallenstar: But does Fukyou really not have anything to do with it?
Fallenstar: What is it?
Logica: I feel like someone was watching us...
Fallenstar: ......
Fallenstar: Anyway, it's getting late, so let's go home before the sun sets.
THE NEXT DAY
Fukyou: Welcome back!
Fallenstar: Hey, Fukyou. We have a question for you...
Fukyou: Oh, can it wait until later? I'm going to go pick mushrooms...
Fukyou: They're so delicious, I really want to share them with you...
Logica: We'll go with you!
Fukyou: Oh no, the path to find them is steep, it's really tough if you're not used to it. Just wait at my place instead!
Fukyou: I'll be right back!
Logica: Is Fukyou really the youkai? She seems so nice...
Logica: I'm starting to feel like it's mean of us to doubt her like this.
Fallenstar: Hmmm... but... It's still possible that she's just pretending to be nice to get us off-guard...
[sfx: snap]
Logica: Oops, I stepped on something.
Logica: Wait, is this...
Logica: A skeleton...?
