Intrepid Interview! Danger at the Lampstar?! (IV)
[sfx: boop!]
Elman: Oh, I get it now. You thought I was trying to steal your food.
Elman: I'm sorry. I didn't mean to.
Camera: !
[sfx: peep peep peep!]
Cloud-Feeder: ......
Camera: This was the last Lampstar on your list, wasn't it? You did a hero's work today! I'm impressed!
Elman: Okay, I'm heading back to the Energy Branch to report in.
Camera: Oh! Before that, may I ask you a question?
Elman: A question?
Camera: Just so that I can wrap up this interview... Ahem! So, Elman, you do all different kinds of work like this--is that because you feel that helping others is your life's calling?
Elman: ?? Nope.
Camera: Huh?! No way!! T-t-then why do you take on these jobs without any compensation at all?!!
Elman: It just sorta turns out like this?
Camera: JUST SORTA???!?!?!?!!
Elman: Yeah, to start out with, I was just on a walk through space, but... after I helped a couple people out with favors on the way, it's become pretty common for people to ask me favors.
Camera: No!! There has to be something in it for you, though, right?! Like being happy that people trust you... or wanting to make everybody else happy!!
Elman: Hmm, there's not really anything like that.
Camera: NOTHING?!?!?!?!
Camera: S-seriously...?
Camera: (They're not how I thought they were at all...)
Elman: Mx Camera, do you have a life's calling?
Camera: Huh?
Camera: Of course! I live to chase down scoops so that I can deliver accurate news to everyone on their tea breaks!!
Camera: Being a respectable robot like that is what I live for!!
Elman: Aw, that's great!
Camera: Hey, now! Don't change the subject!
Camera: There's REALLY nothing to it? You REALLY help everyone for no reason at all??
Elman: Well, I don't know if you'd call this a reason...
Elman: It's just that everyone in this universe is my family.
Camera: ?
Elman: I can do anything if it's for my family.
Camera: ...
