Part two of chapter 25 is available to read here!
This chapter involves discussion of child murder, depiction of grief, and implied body horror.
Negica: For a moment, the sky got so bright I'da forgiven somebody for thinking it was midday.
Negica: The star fell on that scary island!
Negica: The next day I went there myself--I just had to know what happened.
Negica: The island looked completely different from before.
Negica: (All that evil-aura heaviness in the air is gone...)
Negica: Whoa... I guess even that giant didn't stand a chance against this baby.
Cee: The fallen star was a giant rock?
Negica: ?
Cee: Like... you're sure it wasn't cylindrical... and it didn't have any windows or doors?
Negica: Nope, it was just a beat-up ol' rock!
Cee: Oh.
Negica: But after that...
Negica: Ahh!!!
Negica: That was where I found Lumo and adopted them.
Negica: I have a theory! I bet they're an alien that fell to Earth along with the star!!
Cee: No. That child is the giant.
Cee: The massive amounts of energy let off by the impact of the meteorite made it evolve.
Cee: It's transcended past the realm the Professor could reach...
Professor: You know what, Mr Cee?
Professor: I wanted to create a star.
Cee: (What... now...?)
Cee: (They're not a giant anymore, but... they're still an unprecedented entity.)
Cee: (Should they be destroyed...?)
Lumo: Gii, are you done talking?
Lumo: This is for you, Gii!
Negica: It smells great! Thanks!
[sfx: fidget...]
Negica: Go ahead.
[sfx: pat]
[sfx: tup tup tup]
Lumo: Bend down.
Cee: ?
[sfx: put]
[sfx: scamper!!!]
Lumo: I gave it to him!
[sfx: nuzzle]
Negica: I saw!
Cee: (Ahh...)
Cee: (Mr Cee couldn't possibly destroy them...)
Cee: (They're exactly the same as Logica and Fallenstar.)
Cee: Professor... everyone... sorry.
Cee: Mr Cee couldn't keep the promise to defeat all the giants.
"I promise you, humanity will return home one day."
Cee: But humanity didn't keep their promise either.
Cee: So... now we're even.
Cee: Lumo.
Cee: Live free. You have the right to do that.
Lumo: "Free"?
Negica: That means you get to make choices for yourself!
Lumo: Are you "free" too, Gii?
Negica: I'm freedom's poster kid, babey!
Lumo: Are you "free", Mr Cee?
Cee: Yeah. Huh.
Cee: Mr Cee will live free now, too.
Cee: Negica, please do something for Mr Cee.
Cee: Always stay by Lumo's side. Please protect them.
Negica: ? Sure. Of course I will.
Negica: 'Cause Lumo's my family!
Cee: Mr Cee hoped you would say that.
Negica: Huh? You're already going home?
Negica: But getting here took a long time, right? You can rest for longer.
Cee: That's okay. Mr Cee didn't originally mean to go back after coming here, but...
Cee: Seeing you two has made Mr Cee homesick for some friends.
